LID

It has been awhile since I have posted anything. We got our LID (log in date) it is May 14th. We should be getting our LOA any day now. From LOA until the time of travel it's about 10 weeks. So we could possibly go in September. That would be so great!! The weather in the southern part of China at that time of the year will be pretty warm but the hotel will have a nice pool. I am a part of a private face book page for people who could potentially be traveling at the same time. Several families are waiting for their LOA's also, they usually come in batches and the word is it's any day. Some people seem to wait much longer than others, some due to when they are matched with their child and others no reason just must have ended up on a nonproductive workers desk:(

We did get an update on Cody, (no pictures). The update said he is active, naughty, stubborn and has a temper. I have heard that in China naughty is a good thing. I also would imagine that growing up in an orphanage you would need those qualities to survive. Max has some of those very qualities. It will be interesting to see the differences of the two boys. Max growing up in a foster family being well loved and Cody growing up in an orphanage environment. I am sure some of the orphanage workers are very caring people but nothing can replace the love of a mom and dad. We have a very busy rest of the summer. Kim leaves for Europe on Friday, Kasey goes to band camp at EIU the following week. The end of July we go to Traverse City MI for 9 days and the 14th of Aug the girls and I are headed to Florida to visit Grandma and Grandpa Roberts. The last week of August Dave goes on a fishing trip and Kim moves into her college dorm at Olivet Nazarene University. Maybe China in September!! We will see.
